I've been carrying pepper spray with me for many years now, since you never know in today's world when you'll be threatened. Sabre has always been a reliable brand. I test them with a very quick spray about once a year to make sure they're properly charged. As with any pepper spray, you have to keep an eye on the expiration date and replace them when they reach the end of their life. You don't want to depend on something that doesn't work when you need it to.
